A 12-year-old girl had to be rescued after getting trapped in the rocks at the lagoon on Southend seafront.
Southend Coastguard, fire crews, paramedics from East of England Ambulance Service and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) all attended the incident at 8pm on Saturday.
It is thought the youngster was watching the free fireworks on Southend seafront when the incident happened.
She was freed from the rocks on a stretcher and left with paramedics for additional care.
