POLITICS: Conservative councillor Michael Dickinson took to social media to announce his resignation from South Swindon Parish Council.
Mr Dickinson, who represented Badbury Park and Lawns, said he no longer had the time to "do the job properly". He was elected to the parish council last year. Mr Dickinson had previously served as a Conservative ward councillor for Lydiard and Freshbrook, winning four elections between 2000 and 2014.
