THE MP for North Wiltshire is back on his feet again after a nasty fall in the House of Commons.
James Gray MP will be back in Purton for his surgery at Millennium Hall today after he tripped on a carpet near the Prime Minister's office and ruptured a ligament.
He had the fall after taking a shortcut down a carpeted staircase following a vote in the house, and said he suddenly found himself at the bottom with his left leg twisted at an awkward angle.
The MP was helped by staff and ended up needing a leg brace for almost eight weeks after surgery at Bath RUH, leaving him able to reply to emails but virtually housebound.
