A MAN was assaulted after he walked in on a pair of thieves rifling through belongings in the locker room at Swindon Supermarine.
Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace in connection with the incident, which happened at 7.45pm on November 1.
The pair were going through bags and clothing when a member of the public came in to the changing facility at the sports and social club. He attempted to stop them fleeing, but one of them assaulted him. He was shaken but unhurt.
PC Andrew Caldwell said: "We would like to hear from anyone who recognises either or both of these men.
"Luckily the member of the public, who tried to stop the suspects leaving, wasn't seriously hurt. However, the outcome could have been much worse."
Anyone who recognises the men is asked to call PC Caldwell on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
