AN expert-led Brexit Breakfast at Steam Museum is aiming to help businesses prepare for the challenges of Brexit.

Organised by Royds Withy King, Barclays, and Amelia Bishop Consulting, the breakfast will invite a line-up of key speakers to provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities ahead of March 29.

Speakers will include Sarah Munro, UK Brexit Programme Leader for Intel, Economic and Political Strategist, Robert Devine, and from Barclays Peter Pfeiffer, Trade Director from Barclays Corporate and Denis Moriarty, Corporate FX from Barclays International.

There will also be lively panel discussion on the impact of the UK’s imminent departure from the EU, where our speakers will be joined by Brad Ashton, indirect tax partner at RSM specialising in customs, VAT and international trade, Brexit Strategist Amelia Bishop. The discussion will be facilitated by partners from Royds Withy King Lauren Harkin and Greg Callard.

Nicola Atkinson, relationship director at Barclays Corporate, Swindon, said: “The main focus of the event is to help businesses across Swindon plan and prioritise for the future and whatever Brexit may bring. This forum aims to highlight key areas of importance, share best practice and help businesses understand the tools and resources available to ensure they are best prepared.”

Lauren Harkin, partner at Royds Withy King, added: “Businesses are starting to wake up to the fact that that the border which is currently invisible will be visible – and felt – after Brexit, or more precisely, after the transition period, or at the end of March 2019 if there is no deal reached. We are looking forward to hearing how Intel, a global business with a large local presence, is planning to deal with the reality of Brexit.”

The Brexit Breakfast will take place at the Steam Museum on November 28 from 8.30am until 11am. To register your interest email events@roydswithyking.com
