THE Designer Outlet has transformed into a Winter Wonderland as Santa and his elves set up shop inside the MacArthur Glen mall ready to give out plenty of presents to children.

Youngsters visiting Santa at the outlet this year will get to plant a magic bean and marvel as he turns it into a miniature Christmas tree that they can decorate and take home.

Snow will fall over the grotto by SOHO Coffee every 30 minutes.

Mr Claus’ enchanted Elfie Sleigh is parked in the shopping centre’s entrance. His reindeer will be dropping by Train Street just outside the main entrance every December weekend from 1pm to 3pm.

Festive food stalls have also been set up on the street, with German bratwurst, Yorkshire pudding wraps, warming winter drinks and other Christmassy culinary creations on offer.

Tina Cumpstey, the centre manager, said: “Christmas at McArthurGlen Swindon is a truly wonderful time of year. Our Christmas Grotto is bigger and better than ever before and we look forward to spreading the festive cheer with the arrival of Santa and his reindeer.”

Tickets to the grotto cost £10 per child and can be bought in advance from swindondesigneroutlet.com/grotto
