A TEENAGE boy was hit over the head and robbed by a group of three other boys in Moredon.

The 17-year-old victim was walking along Church Walk North around 9.15pm on Sunday when the three attackers, all believed to be in their teens, tried to grab his bag.

When the victim fought back, he was punched. He suffered a large wound near his eye and swelling to his face.

The group eventually ran off with the bag, which contained the victim's wallet and bank card, and the victim was taken to GWH for treatment.

Wiltshire Police are investigating.

Det Con Emma Wood said: “He’s been left incredibly shaken and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information.

"This is a residential street off of a busy road with a number of shops so it is likely there would have been people or vehicles passing.

“Anyone with information should call 101.”
