A YOUNG woman broke her jaw when she was thrown off her bike as she tried to avoid being hit by a car in Eldene.
The 21-year-old was cycling along Kennedy Drive at around 7.30am on Wednesday, December 5, when a car rushed out of a junction.
She braked hard to avoid crashing into the car, instead falling off her bike and breaking her jaw as her face hit the floor.
Police have appealed for information about the driver of the car, who failed to stop. The car is described as dark in colour. It drove out of Kennedy Drive towards Eldene Drive.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "If you heard or saw this incident or anything suspicious in this area around this time - perhaps a car driving at speed or erratically - then please contact PC Corrina Wiltshire on 101."
