Rose, 25, of Edale Moor, Liden, did not tell police within the three-day time limit and failed to tell them when he was in a house with a child under 18 for more than 12 hours.

He was made the subject of a community order for a year and told to pay £85 towards victim services with another £85 prosecution costs.

COURT: Joseph Powell was given a tagged curfew for four weeks and take part in a thinking skills programme for a series of charges including causing criminal damage and sending a racist message.

Powell, 28, of Ferndale Road, had denied damaging a woman’s door and window, causing £290-worth of damage. But he was found guilty after a trial.

He admitted possession of cannabis, sending the racist message and carrying a kitchen knife in public.

Swindon magistrates imposed a two-year community order and instructed him to pay £290 compensation.
