THE elderly widow of a war veteran who served as an airman in Vietnam has had a handbag which contained his dog tags and an engraved Cross gold pen stolen by a thief.

The victim, who is in her 70s, was sat in the Goddard Arms in Old Town around 11am on November 13 when her grey leather Hotter handbag and red Radley purse were taken.

Police have released CCTV images of two people they'd like to speak to in connection to the incident.

PC Ed Rogers said: "If you recognise either or both of these people please come forward.

"Also, if you know anything about this theft or have come across these sentimental items please do the right thing and contact me."
