More than 60 crimes a day reported
Nearly 2,000 crimes were reported in Swindon in October, according to figures released by Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson.
The PCC's website breaks down the figures into north and south of the town and it's surrounding villages.
There were 1033 crimes reported in the northern half of the borough, and 942 in the southern half, making a total of 1975 - across the 31 days of October that's a mean of 63.7 crimes reported every day.
The figures can be broken down to each individual crime and its place - visit wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk and click on the crime statistics tab under the menu 'The PCC and You'
