THE best of Swindon's female entrepreneurs will showcase their skills at an event celebrating successful women.

Six entrepreneurs are behind the Celebration of Women networking idea.

All from different professions and backgrounds, they have come together to share their knowledge and abilities to create a group like no other.

They will give talented female businesswomen a support system that offers them the opportunity to develop and grow in their industries.

Emma Barber runs EB Interiors in Swindon and is one of the hosts of the event.

She said: “We can’t wait to meet everyone and show them how an interactive networking session can change people's lives.

“Working for yourself can be tough so this will give others the opportunity to share experiences, offer advice and gain confidence. We want to celebrate these talented women of Swindon.”

The idea behind the concept came from Emma using her design skills to revamp the home of one of her clients.

It was when they got talking about each others' professions, that they realised that they both know and use some amazing women in the lifestyle industry. It was then that they decided they wanted to celebrate these talents.

Among the professions on show at the first session will be personal trainers, photographers, florists, a designer, and a successful bar and cafe owner.

Emma added: “We are all women who have our own lives but manage to juggle the everyday with our own passions for what we do.

“Some of us have made these passions our full-time jobs, others fit it in with other jobs.”

The group wants to highlight that Swindon should be overlooked when it comes to entrepreneurs, as they believe some people have negative preconceptions compared with other areas such as Bath and Bristol.

The event will be held on Monday. Contact Emma via email at emma@ebinteriors.co.uk if you would like to go along to the session.
