A SUSPECT who allegedly drove into another man causing serious leg injuries has been arrested.

Lee Goodchild, 37, of Liden, was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent on Friday evening and taken to Gablecross Police Station.

It is believed that Goodchild drove a vehicle which hit a 36-year-old-man who suffered serious leg injuries.

The incident happened in the Liden Arms Car Park on December 30. The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he remains.

Mr Goodchild was arrested on Friday after officers on patrol stopped a vehicle on Dorcan Way, in Swindon.

A public appeal was issued by police earlier in the week to help find the suspect.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We would like to thank everyone for their assistance with our appeal and ask that you remove his picture from your websites."
