A NEW retirement show complex has opened in Wroughton.

Banks Place is a development of 38 apartments which have been designed for people aged 60 and over, with landscaped and maintained gardens surrounding the flats, a suite for residents’ friends and family to stay in overnight, and a house manager on hand to offer help around the clock.

Coun Cathy Martin and Coun Brian Ford visited the complex during its opening event, where retired Wroughton residents could have a look around

Coun Ford said: “It was a pleasure visiting Banks Place. It will certainly become an asset to the Wroughton community, ensuring that retirees can continue to enjoy active and independent lifestyles surrounded by like-minded individuals.”
