More than 20 letters have been sent to Swindon Borough Council planners objecting to a proposal to knock down a Victorian school building and replace it with flats.
One letter has been sent in support of the plan which concerns Clifton Street School, which, perhaps oddly, is in Radnor Street.
Some of the building has already been demolished when contractors for the developer Sukhvir Mander began to knock down the 140 year old building last year - Mr Mander mistakenly thought he had permission to do this.
An online petition to prevent the school building's demolition has already received more than 900 signatures.
Plans are available at the borough council's website using reference S/18/1997
