A CHISELDON pub is selling its giant boat-shaped wooden boat.
The Chiseldon Smokehouse Bar and Grill, formerly the Patriot’s Arms, has put the play equipment up for sale on eBay. Bids currently stand at £75, with just two days left to get your offers in.
On Facebook, the bar wrote: “Out with the old and in with the new. We have taken the decision to remove the pirate ship, due to it increasing unsafe nature.
“This will be replaced with a safe, modern kids’ area ready for the summer months. We think that this will make yet another positive addition to the Chiseldon Smokehouse Bar and Grill.”
On eBay, the sales listing says the buyer must dismantle the boat and collect it themselves.Included with the giant boat structure is the internal slide and climbing net.
The boat is at least 15 years old, with the Advertiser photographing the smart-looking play area for a restaurant review in 2003.
