COUNCIL officers are looking to move-on a group of travellers who set up camp near Waitrose.
The caravans moved onto Scott Way, off Redpost Drive, around a week ago.
A spokesman for Swindon Borough Council said officers were looking to move the group on elsewhere.
“We have carried out welfare checks on the group at Scott’s Way and have been in discussions with a view to them moving on from the site,” he said.
The council could not say when the travellers might be moved on.
Residents in nearby Rushey Platt have taken to social media to complain about the caravans.
The junction of Redpost Drive and Scott Way has been blocked with heavy concrete posts, but one man said the travellers had bypassed the roadblock by driving through the traffic light island at the road junction.
Last August, around 10 caravans pitched camp on Wootton Bassett Recreation Ground nearby.
