OUR coach, Aaron Nell, has been out in Estonia for a couple of weeks now with the Great Britain U20s at the World Championships and that’s great for him to be on the international stage picking up that experience.

I played in one of the U20 tournaments when I was younger and it’s amazing to be a part of it.

I know every player on that team takes a lot of pride in being involved in the GB organisation, so it’s great to see them doing well and there are a few former Swindon Wildcats players out there who are doing well too.

The Christmas period was dominated by a lot of games and that takes a toll on the body, so the weekend off has come at a good time. It’s allowed us to rest and hit this weekend at full steam.

We had that big weekend against Peterborough and Basingstoke, so it’s all about keeping that train rolling and working on keeping our consistency throughout the rest of the season.

We’re in a good place right now where we can go on and push for that league title. We know it’s going to come down to the wire, but it’s about keeping the ball rolling.

If we want to push for the title, then we’re going to have to keep producing continuous four-point weekends for the rest of the season.

We’ve put ourselves in a position where we can’t really drop many points, but with the team that Aaron has put together this year, I’m confident we can continue those winning weekends and get back to the top.

Pressure is good for us and we know how important every game is for the rest of the season. Obviously, we would have liked to have not dropped as many points as we did earlier in the season, but it’s happened and we’ve got to forget that and keep moving.

Every point matters and will count towards the final league standings and into the play-offs.

Every team in this league poses a threat, so it’s really about taking our game to them, making sure we play how we can play for the entire 60 minutes and make sure we battle in every shift.

If we execute our style as well as we can, I don’t think we’ll have any problems in winning both games this weekend.
