ROUGH sleepers can get emergency accommodation in Swindon tonight.
The borough council announced the severe weather emergency protocol has been triggered, with temperatures set to fall below zero for three days in a row.
It means anyone who tells the council they are homeless will be housed tonight.
"The SWEP is a temporary arrangement which requires funding and staff resource that isn’t available unless there’s an emergency," the council said.
To tell the council about rough sleepers in need of support, call Street Link on 0300 500 0914 or visit: www.streetlink.org.uk.
Rough Sleepers can contact the council directly on 01793 445503 or visit the council offices at Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street.
