THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice as temperatures are set to dip below freezing overnight.
From midnight tonight to midday on Tuesday, ice is expected to form on roads, pavements and cycle paths.
This is expected to cause trip hazards for pedestrians and cyclists, and longer journey times for those travelling by car, bus and train.
There is also a strong chance of rain in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with temperatures ranging from -1 to 4 degrees Celsius, though it could feel as cold as -4C.
The weather warning has been issued for most of the UK, excluding some parts of the south-east of England and western-most points of Wales.
