A PUBLIC meeting in Wroughton tonight will discuss sites outlined for future development by Swindon Borough Council.
The borough council is obliged to carry out the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment, known as SHEELA, to welcome proposals where future homes could be built.
Several areas have been identified and the meeting is a chance for residents to voice any concerns about developing the sites.
Local residents have already shown some concern about the areas around Thorney Park, Langton Park, Overtown and Alexandria Park, increasing the number of cars on already busy routes through Brimble Hill, Priors Hill and Overtown Hill.
Some of the areas also lie within the Area of Natural Beauty boundaries and include scheduled ancient monuments.
Councillors Cathy Martin and Brian Ford will be attending to outline the proposals submitted to them from landowners and developers before a consultation process begins using feedback from residents in the community.
The meeting will be at the Ellendune Community Centre at 6.30pm tonight.
