A CHARITY providing care to terminally ill children in Wiltshire is urgently looking for volunteers to take part in fundraising events in 2019.

Julias House, which relies on public fundraising and donations for 94 per cent of its income, has planned five events to ensure its palliative centres in Wiltshire and Dorset can stay open.

The five challenges include a trek along the Jurassic Coast in June, a thrilling group skydive from 13,000 ft in August called The Big Jump and new events, a four-day Mallorca Cycle Challenge in September, a second Big Ride in the Larmer Tree gardens on the Wiltshire border.

Julia’s House gets six per cent of its total annual funding from government, making it one of the worst-funded hospices in the UK.

“By signing up to one of our 2019 Challenge events you can make a big difference to the lives of local, life-limited children and their families,” explains Hannah Miller, Challenge Events Manager for Julia’s House.

“We rely on events like this to help us throw a lifeline to mums and dads facing their own enormous challenges every day.”
