THE next phase of the Marlborough Park development has been approved by Swindon Borough Council.
Construction of 70 houses, with open space and access points near Pioers Way, will begin soon.
The fist phase of the £22m development at Marlborough Park won best large development award in the national First Time Buyer Awards.
The application by Design Your Home includes 66 custom-build dwellings and four self-build dwellings and took almost a year to go from submission to approval.
The scheme describes itself as pioneering project that allows homeowners to choose different layout options for the inside of the house and offers more choices for the look of the outside of the property.
All units will have a number of internal layouts that can be chosen from, including the option to increase the number of bedrooms depending on the unit type.
