A LIGHT covering of snow could cause problems on the roads this morning.
Parts of Swindon woke up to snow, which has turned to ice on ungritted roads in the town.
On Facebook, Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police warned drivers of the dangers of black ice: “The road conditions looked okay yesterday, but this black ice caught drivers out.” They had attended accidents involving six cars that had skidded off the road.
“The roads are looking the same this morning, so please allow extra time for journeys and take your time.”
Elsewhere on the roads…
Currently, traffic is moving well across Swindon.
On the M4, the Leigh Delamere services have reopened after an overnight closure caused by a planned power outage.
