A CONSULTATION on tackling rough sleeping has been extended for a further two weeks.
Swindon Borough Council is currently drafting a Rough Sleepers Reduction Strategy for the next three years.
The strategy will cover a wide range of themes, including making prevention a priority, creating more rapid and joined-up partnerships, providing an outreach services for those with complex needs, and developing a wider range of accommodation to support individuals needs.
The five-minute questionnaire asks residents who live in the borough to give their view, as well as businesses and community and voluntary organisations.
It had been due to end of January 31 but the council has decided to extend it until February 14.
The full draft of the strategy can be viewed on the council website at www.swindon.gov.uk.
The council has received £194,000 in government funding and may be allocated £250,000 for 2019/20.
