SWINDON Folk Club's next social will feature a performance from Talis Kimberley.
The award-winning songwriter has written and performed music for 25 years, releasing three studio albums and two mini-albums during that time.
Her acoustic songs tackle a variety of subjects but she's particularly passionate about the environment and climate change.
Talis has also been active as a Swindon politician and a trustee for local charities.
A spokesman for the folk club said: "Talis is an energetic performer who delights in taking her audience places and bringing them back, changed.
"A storyteller to her bones, Talis’s songs will challenge you, entertain you, and take root in your heart.
The club night will be held at the RAFA Swindon Social Club from 8pm this Friday.
Tickets cost £5 each and all are welcome.
The Swindon Folk Club meets up on the first and third Friday of every month.
