AN ALLEGED child murderer is due to appear before Bristol Crown Court later this morning.
Paul Rich, a supervisor for contractor Serco at the Shrivenham Defence Academy, was charged last December over the death of Swindon three-month-old baby Patrick Bradley.
The youngster died in March 2017, a week after he had been rushed to Great Western Hospital from his home on Thresher Drive with life threatening injuries.
Rich, 52, of Sandy Lane, Shrivenham, is due before the Bristol court today to enter pleas to the murder charge. The plea hearing had been listed for a date last month, but was adjourned.
In December, Thresher Drive residents spoke of their shock at the death. Amanda Russell, 44, said of the area: “We know our neighbours. It’s a very family oriented area, very friendly.”
