FAKE bank notes are still circulating around the Royal Wootton Bassett area, police have warned.
Officers took to social media to ask businesses to remain on their guard and report any counterfeit cash to Wiltshire Police.
It follows warnings over recent weeks of fake £50 notes doing the rounds of the area.
Writing on Facebook, Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police said: "Please be aware that we are still getting reports of fake notes in and around the RWB area."
Shops were told to keep hold of counterfeit notes, carefully observe the person who had used the cash and report the incident to police on 101.
"If the person starts to become aggressive or agitated in any way, call police on 999 immediately," they added.
