A TANK hunt is one of the attractions at the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Museum to help keep boredom at bay this half-term.

The museum has planned a series of activities called Making Tracks to help keep the children entertained next week.

There will be a children's assault cause, with serving REME personnel, and the challenge for youngsters to make their own tank parachutes - ready to be dropped into battle.

For the more artistic ones there is the chance to design and colour in their own tanks.

No advanced booked is required, and the cost of the activities is included with the admission prices.

The events will be running from Tuesday, February 19 until Friday, February 22.

The base became MOD Lyneham in 2015 after technical training for the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer were relocated from the two existing sites, one at Arborfield in Berkshire, the other at Bordon in Hampshire,
