RESTAURANT staff raised hundreds of pounds for the Great Western Hospital’s charity with tasty carrot cakes and chocolate brownies.

Brighter Futures collected over £600 from the coffee morning hosted at Rick Stein’s Marlborough restaurant.

Visitors enjoyed home-made goodies and hot drinks in return for a £5 donation. It was an opportunity for the fundraising team to meet with local supporters.

Jane Leighton, major gifts manager for Brighter Futures, said: “We are so grateful to everyone who attended and are thrilled that the event raised so much money which we can use when working to enhance the care provided at Great Western Hospital. The staff at Rick Stein Marlborough gave a very warm welcome to everyone who came along, and the service was wonderful."

Restaurant manager Stephane Malbranche added: “We’re thrilled to have hosted and helped Brighter Futures raise money for their wonderful charity.”
