NEW College celebrated Chinese New Year in style with a massive party.
Students enjoyed feasting on traditional Chinese snacks, watching performances of songs and poetry from some of the 80 pupils who attended from the Swindon Community Chinese School, and playing plenty of games including a chopsticks challenge, pass the flower. chess, and Chinese calligraphy writing, Chinese chess play
One student's mother said: βIt is a great opportunity for the children to learn Chinese culture, which also helps the children to be more interested in Chinese language study, My children really enjoyed it and I did, too Thank you so much for organising this."
The Swindon Chinese Community School thanked Taw Hill Pharmacy for sponsoring the event and Swindon New College for supporting it.
Another pleased parent said: βI am a new mum and desperate to go out and meet people, this event provided me an social opportunity to catch up with old friends..β
