Children from Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon were delighted when they received a special visit from Zoolab to celebrate Chinese New Year.
They filled the nursery with an array of exotic animals from the Chinese zodiac and the Zoolab team introduced excited pre-schoolers to famous creatures from the festival, including a snake, a rat and a bearded dragon, a tarantula, a cockroach.
A guinea pig represented the upcoming Year of the Pig.
The day nursery's manager, Lora Worthington said; “The children had a brilliant time exploring the different animals and getting to learn about their diets, habitats and native countries. We love to celebrate special events at nursery and Chinese New Year is a great occasion to learn more about the culture and associated creatures of the zodiac.”
