Fancy building your own house? Even better, do you fancy cutting back on your heating and energy bills?
If the answer is yes, get yourself down to the National Self-Build and Renovation Centre in Lydiard Fields off Great Western Way this Saturday.
The centre is hosting its first eco workshop of the year concentrating on design, planning and sustainability.
There will be free talks on planning an eco house, designing a sustainable home, permaculture - a way of growing fruit and veg without harming the environment, ventilation in eco-homes and the PassivHaus concept, where homes need very little external energy for either heating or cooling, relying on using design to use solar energy and heat stores.
The show is on 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday.
See nsbrc.co.uk for further details and to book tickets for the free event.
