SMALL Business comissioner Paul Uppal will be paying a visit this May.
The non-profit event, organised by networking group BusinessWise and the Workshed, has invited the commissioner to talk about his work around late payment in the small business economy.
The commissioner's office, which was launched in 2017, as a complaint handling service and is dedicated to suppporting small firms across the country to ensure they adhere to fair payment practices and resolving payment disputes.
Paul ran his own business for 20 years and took up the new role last year and hopes to bring about a change in culture around late payment and its impact on productivity and survival of many SMEs.
The evening will include a discussion around the work by his team and the type of cases they have been handling.
The evening will follow an agenda with round-table discussions facilitated by BusinessWise members, a talk by Paul with time for Q&As.
The event, which will cost £16,58 to cover the cost of the event, and has limited places, will take place at the Workshed, London Street, Swindon, from 6 - 8pm.
