THREE fire crews headed to Chippenham this afternoon to tackle a fire in a chicken fryer in a town centre restaurant.
Following a call at 12.42pm, appliances from Chippenham, Corsham and Trowbridge attended the fire at the Istanbul Mangul restaurant and takeaway in New Road.
The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
Two appliances departed at 1.45pm, and the third is still in attendance while a fire investigation continues.
