SHOPPERS at a Haydon Wick supermarket raised hundreds of pounds for Wiltshire Search and Rescue.
The charity held an awareness day and collection at the parish's Asda yesterday and was delighted by the response from supportive customers.
A spokesman for the charity said: "Thank you to Asda Haydon Wick for your support, it is very much appreciated. We would also like to thank your customers who donated a total of £255.71 which is an amazing amount of money.
"As we receive no regular statutory funding and rely solely on our own fundraising efforts and the generosity of our community this goes a long was to enable us to continue to support Wiltshire Police searching for vulnerable missing people."
