VISITORS to Swindon Designer Outlet are invited to donate their pre-loved handbags at a pop-up shop, with all proceeds going to a local charity.
McArthurGlen outlet will be hosting its second handbag amnesty to raise money for the Great Western Hospital’s Brighter Futures appeal.
The donated handbags will be given a new lease of life when they are snapped up by fashion fans at the pop-up shop in March. Donors have until February 28 to drop-off their bags to the guest services desk by the north entrance.
Last year, the event raised more than £2,400. “It was a fantastic event that the entire community enjoyed supporting,” said Tina Cumpstey, the centre manager at the outlet village.
“We’re thrilled to once again offer local residents from Swindon and Wiltshire the chance to make a difference to the important work the charity does by donating or purchasing a handbag from our pop-up shop.”
Shoppers can enter a raffle to win one of four brand new handbags donated from Osprey, Joules, Kurt Geiger and Fiorelli.
Raffle tickets cost £1 each and can be purchased directly from the pop-up shop.
