This week Swindon looks back to the golden ages of the sixties and seventies with two tribute shows to the iconic ABBA and Franki Valli and The Four Seasons.

All Dancing Queens will be meeting their Waterloo as they soak up the Abba hits, while admiring the flares and platforms in Thank You For The Music - The Ultimate Tribute To ABBA at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Saturday, March 9.

Record-breaking movies, West End musicals, chart-topping albums and singles – ABBA’s incredible legacy lives on in concert with all their hits such as Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Mamma Mia, Knowing Me, Knowing You, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, The Winner Takes It All, Thank You for the Music, Fernando, Money, Money, Money, The Name of the Game, Take A Chance on Me, Chiquitita, SOS, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, Voulez Vous, I Have A Dream, Lay All Your Love On Me, Honey Honey, Ring Ring.

Tickets for the show are £28.

The second tribute goes even futher back to a time of sunny close harmonies from Franki Valli and the Four Seasons on Friday, March 9, when Let’s Hang On comes to the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon.

The show is the world’s first tribute to Franki Valli and the longest-running as it marks its 10th anniversary.

The story of four New Jersey boys from the wrong side of the tracks who invented their own sound unfolds in this all singing all dancing show. The Four Seasons sold more than 175 million records before they turned 30.

This musical journey rocks through the prolific career of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Famers performing the favourite hits and movie soundtracks from a catalogue spanning over five decades such as Grease, Stay (Dirty Dancing), December 1963 (Oh What a Night!), Sherry, Beggin’, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back To You, Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Let’s Hang On. Tickets to the show, beginning at 7.30pm, are £26.
