PROPERTY owners might not know they are eligible for a government-backed loan to buy a house, advises Newland Homes.
The developer of Broad Blunsdon Heights, a 57-home development in Blunsdon, has been awarded the title of Best New Large Housing Development in Swindon Borough Council’s Local Building Excellence Awards 2019.
Only three homes, all with five bedroom, are up for grabs, but buyers can still apply for government-backed Help to Buy loans.
Gail Remnant, associate sales director for Newland Homes, said: “Our last three five bedroom properties are excellent homes and are ready to move into straight away.
“A common misconception too is that Help to Buy isn’t open to everyone.
"As long as you only own one property and are looking to buy a new home which is less than £600,000, then purchasers could be eligible for an additional 20 per cent government backed loan, which is interest free for five years."
Prospective buyers have a choice of two open weekends in March, one on March 16 and 17, followed by a second viewing weekend on March 23 and 24, focusing on those using Help to Buy.
