Bridlewood Primary School has been given the go ahead to create the space it needs to offer classes for pre-school children.
Having had its application to offer nursery schooling approved in November, the school in Blunsdon will be allowed to use two existing classrooms for the new nursery classes, and put up a double classroom block for the classes already using the space now allocated to pre-school children.
To the east of the main school building is a double mobile classroom with its own enclosed play area, which will become the nursery school
The existing two classrooms are to be rehoused in a new double classroom mobile next to the playground where it can be accessed directly from the school grounds.
There will be another four parking spaces created in the staff car park for the nursery.
When the school was given the go ahead to start its nursery, Swindon Borough Council allocated £350,000 from its budget for the necessary work.
Nursery education at the school will begin in September.
