THE winners of the Best Performance Award at last year's Swindon Fringe Festival will return with a new show.

Nathan Peter Grassi and Ida Berglöw Kenneway won over the festival's audience with their performances, wit and physical comedy in Nathan & Ida's Hot Dog Stand, which was set in the French Riviera.

They're looking forward to returning to the festival with their brand-new show Tropez! The fast-paced comedy follows a cat burglar and a gigolo in St Tropez who desperately want to join the jet-setters and glitterati of the chic French town but are repeatedly shunned and ignored by society.

Despite being polar opposites in terms of personality, the pair of resourceful underdogs decide to team up and attempt to carry out the biggest jewel heist in history.

Its creators describe it as a funny blend of outrageous characters, adventure, passion and panache.

Nathan and Ida said: “This show explores the culture, glamour and tribulations of a world where everything is possible and yet unattainable at the same time. It’s every classic movie you’ve ever imagined in a spicy and intoxicating mix. We are very excited to be returning to the festival and to debut our brand new comedy show.”

Tropez! will be performed at Artiste on Monday April 8 at 7.30pm, For more information and to book tickets, visit swindonfringefestival.co.uk
