STORM Hannah will bring strong winds to Wiltshire this weekend, with forecasters issuing a yellow weather warning for the county.

The Met Office said: “Gusts of 50-60mph are expected quite widely, with some more exposed locations seeing wind gusts of around 70mph, mainly in coastal areas and just inland.”

Swindon Advertiser:

Swindon is currently expected to miss the worst of the storm, with the area covered by the yellow weather warning stopping outside Royal Wootton Bassett. Snow is set to bury parts of Scotland, northern Britain and north Wales in snow on Saturday.

It comes days after Storm Gareth battered the UK. In Swindon, there were reports of fallen trees and firefighters called to flapping roof vents. In Dorset, fire crews had to rescue a shed that had been blown into a tree.
