A BODY has been found by railway lines between Swindon and Didcot, a GWR spokesman has confirmed.

Rail company spokesman Paul Gentleman told BBC Wiltshire that emergency services were responding to the incident near Uffington.

The incident has seen rail journeys cancelled from Swindon station. Other services have been re-routed.

Mr Gentleman said GWR was trying to put on road transport for passengers stranded at Swindon. Disruption is expected to last until around 9.30am.
