The police investigation followed the last minute cancellation of former Swindon St George rugby club head coach Ben Whincup’s stag-do to Las Vegas. It is alleged a member of the party responsible for organising the trip made off with the £7,500 holiday fund.

Family members said they were devastated by incident. An online donations page has raised more than £700 to help refund members of the stag-do left out of pocket.
