FIREFIGHTERS raced to the scene of a fire in Old Town.
One crew from Swindon fire station and one crew from the Westlea fire station responded to a report of a fire in a domestic flat on North Street.
They arrived at the scene of the fire at 11.45am on Sunday.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews forced entry into the property and located a fire involving an electrical shower unit.
"Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a 52mm safety jet. The property was made safe by isolating the electrics and gas supply and a thermal imaging camera was used."
On Saturday, crews from Stratton and Swindon fire stations plus one pump from Thames Valley Fire and Rescue Service responded to alarms sounding at a house in Canal Walk at 12.24pm.
Once they arrived, they confirmed that it was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.
