POLICE warned speeding drivers and confiscated cannabis while out on patrol.
Swindon North community policing team four went out and about early on Saturday morning to carry out speed checks on Thamesdown Drive after residents made the area their most popular request for the police to monitor. Some speeding drivers were warned but officers noted that most motorists obeyed the limit.
In Royal Wootton Bassett, officers on patrol found bags of cannabis hidden in a bush and are waiting for its owner to collect the lost property from their police station.

PC Tom Ashforth of Swindon South community policing team went out out on foot patrol around Liden on Sunday afternoon, spoke to local residents about community issues, and tried to show off his football skills to youngsters playing on the fields in Eldene.
PCSOs from South Swindon Police carried out an early-morning foot patrol of Coate Water on Sunday and spoke to dog walkers enjoying the sunshine.
