A PROTESTOR has appeared in court charged with damaging a mobile phone and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
Bristol woman Nicole Shall, 29, denies the charges, which relate to a protest on February 9 that saw yellow vest demonstrators remonstrate with counter protestors by the Cenotaph in Swindon town centre.
Shall, who appeared in court unrepresented, is understood to have been a member of the group demonstrating against the yellow vests’ protest.
She is said to have knocked to the ground a mobile phone belonging to yellow vest Amy Dallamura and is also accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
Shall spoke only to confirm her details and her not guilty pleas.
Magistrates awarded her unconditional bail for the trial on July 15.
