Broken promises in the school playground

Our two Swindon MPs both voted to back the PMs Brexit deal.

But the North Wiltshire MP James Gray voted the deal down in turn stabbing us all in the back, just like all those other MPs who represented areas where the vote to leave by the majority was made.

All fair and square and above board, so stop crying over the spilt milk all of you remainers.

My general feeling over these sorry state of affairs, the school ground antics in Parliament, the squabbling the spats, I’m not playing in your gang, running home to mother sucking your thumbs, is that it is driving me and I’m sure millions of others totally around the bend.

All of you MPs who made Brexit as part of your platforms to get elected - and yes stating you will get us out of the EU at the allocated date once article 50 was started, March 29th 2019 in case it slipped your minds - that promise was made at the last elections.

And then you went against the wishes of your constituents by voting down and siding with Labour either for your own gains

Or perhaps you all have a vision of becoming the next Prime Minister.

I honestly think there is not one of 649 MPs in Parliament who comes close to having that privilege, nor the skill set to lead this great country.

All those MPs who have failed by not getting us out from under the yolk of the EU should have a vote of no confidence lobbied against them and we should vote in people who will do what the majority of the people want - all 17.4 million of them.

And that is to get us out of the EU, again in case you forgot that first and foremost task.

You are in Parliament to represent the people who voted you in.

By not backing the Prime Minister you have let us all down by not fulfilling your promise.

You have had three years to get this done. You not the PM have failed us.

You have made us the laughing stock of the whole world. Shame on you.

Food shortages could be good for the nation

No deal Brexit at last on the 12th of April 2019. Delayed from the 29th March 2019 by the remain losers who still have no idea what they want and can’t agree on anything.

And the 17,400,000 odd were labelled as stupid and ignorant and ill informed.

We have just saved £38 billion (as there is no deal) and £10 billion with rebate/ £14 billion without rebate a year.

Not a sum to be sneezed at. We have our territorial waters back and our fishing industry with no restrictions or quotas.

No free immigration or travel and we can then allow in those who will benefit the country. All foreign criminals deported to their countries thereby freeing up our prison services and police.

Ban on all foreign diesel cars. This will bring our carbon emission footprint reducing at a stroke. At the same time it will boost the second hand car market. Food shortages (as predicted by the scare brigade) will be a good thing as it will reduce the country obesity problem immediately and promote our farm industry. We can reduce the import of French agricultural and wine goods (and if they impose and delay our exports) we can do the same.

The French farmers and wine growers will go mad and revolt by joining the Yellow Vests who are still causing havoc in France after 19 weeks.

The French will have to store their own butter mountains and wine lakes.

The UK could make trade deals with any country they wished without waiting for EU approval.

On a further tongue in cheek point, we can have another general election (and if you remember) Lord Such of the Monster Raving Looney Party would have a landslide victory and would probably be better than this lot. At least he was honest in his party name.

17,400,000 Brexit voters rejoice.

Cash to kill but not save

On 18th March, the worst natural disaster hit parts of the Southern hemisphere, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi leaving a trail of mass destruction and hundreds of people dead, thousands left homeless and thousands facing death and disease.

The Uk goverment have promised £12 million in financial aid to help rebuild these countries.

In the financial year of 2019 to 2020, the UK's military budget is expected to reach £37 billion.

Why can the UK government find billions to kill people, but only a few million to help and save people?

Nothing but a wish list

A front page splash and a full two page inside spread (EA April 2 ), full of grandiose schemes which, apart from the ski centre which is a private equity investment, should more accurately be described as a wish list?

Am I mistaken, or are there local elections in the offing?
