AN INJUNCTION banning five street drinkers from four town centre hangouts shows such behaviour will not be tolerated, inSwindon boss Di Powell has said.
On Tuesday, a judge approved a council-backed order, preventing the group from carrying booze anywhere in the town centre, going to Theatre Square, the bus station, Wharf Green or Havelock Square - or swearing at anyone anywhere in the borough. The order runs for 18 months.

Di Powell, inSwindon BID chief executive, said: “These individuals have had a detrimental impact on businesses and users of the town centre.
"We welcome these last resort measures which send a clear message that this behaviour will not be tolerated."
Highlighting the part the red-jacketed inSwindon street team played in compiling evidence crucial in the injunction case, Ms Powell added: "The street team continues to be the eyes and ears of the town centre, offering words of advice and will continue to provide intelligence to strategic partners to prevent antisocial behaviour in the town centre, ensuring all of our visitors receive a safer and more enjoyable experience."
