Adults have just over a week to make sure that they are able to vote in this year's local election.
Be make sure you can cast you vote in elections held on May 2, you must be registered by the end of the day of Friday April 12.
The easiest way to register is online at www.registertovote.service.gov.uk. It takes a few minutes, and you'll have to give your name, your date of birth and address.
It will also be helpful to have your national insurance number to hand.
Every vote could matter for the elections to Swindon Borough Council.
The 57 seat council is a unitary authority, meaning it has responsibility for all local government powers, from collecting rubbish from the doorstep and maintaining parks and gardens to keeping the roads maintained, and keeping vulnerable children and adults safe and secure.
The Conservative administration has a one seat majority with 29 seats, Labour has 24 and there are two Lib Dems and two independents.
